The tent
Twenty square metres under double canvas, raised on a floor: a double bed or twin beds with a frame, a thick mattress and hotel bedding, a real duvet in winter, rugs on the floor, a lounge corner with cushions, lanterns and soft solar lighting. The tent closes fully, and the spacing between tents is calculated so you hear nothing but the wind.
The private bathroom
Each luxury tent has its adjoining bathroom: hot shower (water heated by fire and sun), washbasin, Scandinavian-style dry toilet, towels and argan soap provided. It is the difference that changes everything for many travellers — and the one that exists in no other camp on the Foum Zguid side of the erg, to our knowledge.
The evening
The aperitif is taken on the dune, dinner at a set table: tablecloths, candles, an extended menu that goes beyond the tagine (starters, mechoui on order, dessert, ceremonial tea). Then the fire, music if you feel like it, silence if you prefer. In the morning, breakfast is served at sunrise, with pressed coffee — a rare detail 60 kilometres of track from the first tarmac.

Frequently asked questions
What is the concrete difference from the classic camp?
Four things: the tent (20 m², a real bed frame and hotel bedding, versus a nomad tent with simple beds), the bathroom (private with hot shower, versus shared facilities), the service (dinner at a set table, by candlelight, extended menu) and the location (set apart, facing the highest dunes). The desert itself is the same — that is the point.
A hot shower in the middle of the desert — how?
An insulated tank heated by wood fire and by the sun during the day, gravity for the pressure. It is not a tropical rain shower; it is a genuinely hot shower in the middle of forty kilometres of dunes — most of our guests rank it among the best of their lives, context helping.
Can the luxury camp be privatized?
Yes, and that is its best version: from 4 people, we pitch an exclusive luxury camp for your group, with no other travellers. Ideal for a birthday or simply the wish to have the erg to yourselves — and for newlyweds, our desert honeymoon page details the version for two. Supplement depending on group size and season.
Do we have to book a tour to sleep there?
No. Self-driving 4x4 travellers can book the night alone and reach us by their own means — we provide the GPS point and, if you wish, a lead guide from Foum Zguid. Most guests still prefer the all-inclusive formula with transport.
Is there electricity in the tent?
Soft solar lighting and a charging battery for phones and cameras. No air conditioning or electric heating — the tents are designed for desert thermals, and in winter we add hot-water bottles and duvets.
Going further: our desert honeymoon formula is built on this camp, and the guide to the best desert camps in Morocco places it honestly against the competing luxury camps.
